On Stage 16 of the 2010 Tour de France, Jens Voigt crashed on the descent of the Col de Peyresourde and destroyed his bike. With no team car nearby, he famously borrowed and rode a child-sized bike for several kilometres until he could get a replacement and finish the stage.
